Meet Niccole Winney

Niccole Winney is General Music Teacher at Ray Marsh Elementary in Shawnee, Kansas. In 2018, she was appointed Student Intern for the William Baker Choral Foundation and served through the 2019-2020 concert season.  

She is a graduate of Kennesaw State University in Georgia, earning the Bachelor of Music Education.  Her Minor is in Linguistic Studies.  Currently, she is pursuing a master of education in choral pedagogy from the University of Kansas.

She has been a member of several Choral Foundation ensembles since 2014, including The New South (formerly Lynn Swanson) Festival Singers, the Cobb Summer Singers, the Baroque Summer Institute, and the Summer Singers of Atlanta.  At Kennesaw State she studied voice, organ, piano and conducting, and participated in the Kennesaw State Chorale and the Women’s Choir.  She served as Staff Singer and Assistant Children’s Choir Director for the St. Benedict’s Episcopal Church in Smyrna, Georgia.  

Her internship included study with William Baker, Christine Freeman and Jamea Sale.  She worked with the 2018 Summer Singers of Atlanta before relocating to the Kansas City area, where she continues to work with the William Baker Festival Singers and Summer Singers of Lee’s Summit.
